Innovative Collector Design

Unlike conventional flat-plate solar collectors, the AQUAHEAT Solar Energy Systems solar collector is an innovative design that employs a double-walled glass vacuum tube, just like a thermos flask.

AQUAHEAT Solar System Anatomy

AQUAHEAT Solar  Energy Systems' solar pool water heating system is composed of two circulating components: the photo thermal conversion, and the heat exchange circuits.

Environmental Impact Statement PDF Print E-mail

An AQUAHEAT Energy Systems solar water heating system can save between 3 tonnes and 4.5 tonnes of greenhouse gas production a year.

The TiNOX absorber-layers of the solar collector are coated in an environmentally friendly PVD-vacuum process. The production of 1 m² of TiNOX material requires 0.87 kW·h.

1 m² TiNOX generates more than 500 kW·h per year, hence the energy necessary for the coating-process, is amortised within one single “sunny” day.

The components of the TiNOX-coating are abundant and, in addition, ecologically and biologically harmless (Titanium is a highly respected material in medical technology).

In addition, AQUAHEAT Energy Systems' polyethylene components are fully recyclable material, so they can be recycled at the end of their useful life.
